Education

Different tools based on data from the European Values Study have been proposed for educational purposes in local projects that involve students from secondary and primary schools. For example, along with the Fontys Hogeschool (Tilburg, NL), EVS designed a special website (www.atlasofeuropeanvalues.eu) where students, teachers and other users can find materials about values in Europe and make their own maps. The website contains extensive teaching materials for teachers in secondary education: lesson plans, teaching methods and specially recorded videos of young people across Europe. The teaching material accounts for more than 2000 online sessions per year.

The new project EVALUE: European Values in Education will update the material.

The European Values Study is also one of the main data sources in the exhibition space on “United in Diversity” of the Visitors’ Centre of the Europarliament, in Brussels.
